SpamAssassin is calling SNF4SA, but it's not working. Why?

Amavis "caches" a lot of SpamAssassin information. Even though a manual run of SpamAssassin was calling SNF4SA, amavis didn't know anything about it yet. Restart your the amavisd processes and SNF4SA will be recognized.
