Which mode do I need to be in to use the IP reputation system?

The IP reputation system (GBUdb) is an integral part of the new SNF engine.

SNFClient uses XCI (the TCP interface) to do its work so using the SNFClient utility is essentially the same as using XCI directly.

SNFClient operates the same way whether you use the compatibility mode (providing an authentication string when performing a scan) or native mode (no authentication string).
